Respawn Entertainment has confirmed the most ambitious rework of Kings Canyon since Apex Legends launched in 2019, arriving with next week’s new season.
A new central point of interest
The area replacing the old Hillside adds verticality and multiple loot tiers, designed to break up the overly predictable late-season rotations players had been calling out.
Zone rotation logic fully recalculated
The circle’s shrink pattern now follows different logic to avoid endgames where the final zone almost always landed on the same map sectors.
Verdict
An ambitious overhaul of the game’s most-played map — the real test comes once the season actually goes live.
