Silent Hill: Townfall launches on September 24, 2026. The first-person psychological horror game is developed by Scotland’s Screen Burn and co-published by Annapurna Interactive and Konami. Here’s what matters before launch.

An island, a fog, a past resurfacing

You play Simon Ordell, returning to the desolate island of St. Amelia, where a heavy fog hangs over everything. As you explore, fragments of the past rise to the surface and reveal hidden truths. The setting is a cold, isolated Scotland.

What the gameplay promises

According to Konami, evasion is tense and combat is frenetic, alongside narrative-driven puzzles. Simon carries an unusual tool: a pocket television called the CRTV, central to uncovering what the island hides.

Platforms and editions

  • Platforms: PlayStation 5 (physical and digital), Steam and Epic Games Store.
  • Standard Edition: CRTV Style Rusted and Beach Edition cosmetics.
  • Deluxe Edition: digital artbook, soundtrack, alternate outfit, all Standard bonuses and 48-hour early access.
  • Price: the Steam listing shows $49.99 for the base edition. Konami didn’t detail pricing in its announcement.

Pre-orders are open. Store-listed dates may differ by a day depending on time zone.

Our take before release

After the success of Silent Hill f, the series changes setting again. The first-person approach, the Scottish atmosphere and the focus on narrative are promising, but we haven’t played the game yet: we’ll give you our full verdict after launch.
